German is BACK!!!

German is back! As you know, German has been inactive for a while and some of the newer guys may not even know him. Well, he’s been working on his MS at Georgia Tech in Computer Science and has been incredibly busy… until recently when he finished his finals! So, he’s back and we’re glad to have another one of our fastest Corvette C7 guys back. In an IMSA race last night, vApex dominated a strong Corvette C7 field – Kevin got the Pole, German qualified P2, and Rick qualified P3. At the start, Kevin and German slowly inched away from Rick and the rest of the pack. They races each other cleanly lap after lap, sometimes only 0.1 secs away from each other, but never made contact. Unfortunately for Kevin, while leading he got caught up with a wounded and wobbling GT3 and went off-course. He didn’t damage the car, but it was all German needed to snatch the win. Kevin had been on a roll and had won 2 IMSA races in a row (and leads Div 3)… until, German also broke the streak! Rick finished third, so vApex took the first three starting spots and dominated the podium. German said he was glad to be back and was looking forward to racing the endurance races, especially the 24 Hours of Daytona (You hear that Russell? Are you ready?). He’s said iRacing was “just like riding a bike - you don’t forget” - well, he didn’t and he didn’t pick up any rust either, because he still fast! Welcome back German – it’s good to see you again.
