So Close It's...Well...It's REALLY CLOSE!!
Round 11 of the vApex IndyCar Series went to the Irish Hills of Michigan for the Michigan 250, the 2nd Leg of the Triple Crown. 15 Cars took the Green Flag and the race was so competitive that 8 different drivers led at least 1 lap. A late caution resulted in a 5 lap sprint to the end and Brian Barney won by 0.001 seconds over Rick McClure. There were only 5 cautions during the 125 lap race.
Points leader Mikey Grems had his first off day of the season and finished 11th. His points lead over Andy Banfield "shrunk" to 96 points and 125 over Wayne Hutchison.
Next week the Series goes to Homestead-Miami Speedway for another Oval in the Split Series. Big thanks to all of the drivers who are supporting this series. We are having a great time putting it on, I can assure you.
