Just like the real NTT IndyCar Series, the vApex IndyCar League went to the last race with the Champion still to be determined. The last race at Chicagoland was lightly attended most likely due to the new build that came out earlier in the day and completely changed the Dallara IR-18. Or, the racers were not allowed into Chicago due to Covid concerns...But I digress...

The race was won by Alex Banfield with Clark Archer and Andy Banfield finishing on the Podium. Alex had the clean sweep of bonus points and at the end of the race, along with drop weeks factored in, he was TIED for the Championship Points Lead with Andrew Z. Wood!!! The first tiebreaker is number of wins. Andrew had 3 versus Alex's 2. Therefore the Championship was Mr. Wood's!!

I want to personally thank the members of vApex that supported this series through thick and thin and also want to send very special thanks to Andrew, John Downing, Liam Quinn, Rob Powers, Tyler Shiber, and Jonathan Diggs for supporting this League by showing up and running with us. We strive to make this a clean, fun league and your presence and skill makes that possible. We can't thank you enough!

Big Thanks to our League Administrator, Brian Barney for setting the League up and running through the different scenarios we used this year.

Hope to see you all in the Spring of 2021 where I think we'll have a return to more traditional IndyCar racing....But, at some VERY non-traditional locations. We think it will be a blast!!!
