Grems Captures Alabama

Well, the North invaded the South again and emerged victorious in the 2019 vApex IndyCar Series 1 Opener at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama. Under a partly sunny sky, 22 Drivers participated in the inaugural race of the season, and Mikey Grems cruised to a victory leading 40 of the 41 laps. Clifton Naranjo grabbed the pole position, but fell on some bad luck after losing the back end of his Dallara over the hump in Turn 2.

Chuck Chambliss finished with a strong 2nd Place with Clark Archer securing the last spot on the podium.
