During last night’s Team Practice session, your management met to discuss our accomplishments and peer deeply into Andy’s crystal ball to figure out where we’re headed in 2017. Last year, our Team saw significant growth and we enjoyed much success. During 2017, we are committed to continuing that trend. Our goal is make vApex Racing Group a “Destination Team” while maintaining the smaller, family feel we enjoy. With this in mind, your Management staff is committed to providing greater opportunities and development to our Team in 2017. So, this is Where We’re Headed:
2017 vApex Racing Group Vision
Maintain Team Roster near 25
For 2017, we will maintain our team roster about 25, recognizing that simply maintaining our roster requires nearly constant recruiting to offset drivers moving to inactive status.
Add an “Assistant Team Manager”
During 2017, we will add an Assistant Manager to increase our Team’s social network presence (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.), assist with Race Reports, blog stories, and help with other management tasks.
Re-establish the Team’s Social Media Outreach using Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.
We will re-establish this outreach to better market the team, provide news feeds, and attract new drivers!
Strengthen our IndyCar program through Pete Ramberg's Indycar Open Lite League with at Least 3-4 Drivers Competing on a Weekly Basis.
IndyCar has always been in our DNA and during 2016, vApex claimed the IndyCar Open Lite Championship. In 2017, we will be cognizant of this League’s intent, continue to recruit strong DW-12 drivers, and focus on chassis setup and race results.
Use the DGFX Series (or another live marshaled series) to Market Our Team.
During 2016, our Corvette DP teams earned the top two spots in the DGFX Championship and our Audi R8 had a great year. During 2017, we will have several teams competing in these competitive, broadcast events. Success on this platform and the broadcasts increases our Team’s exposure to our primary market.
Strengthen our Data Analysis Capabilities
There are several drivers using MoTec, ATLAS, or iAnalyze Racing for chassis setup. During 2017, we will grow our data analysis capabilities by organizing focused sessions to better integration and education our Team.
Create and Utilize Driver Development Program
As in the past, during 2017 we will again focus on our driver’s development by organizing Team sessions to help our drivers enjoy racing more, have greater success, and help them meet their goals.
